Break of Dawn [Manzanita judging] COMPLETED

Eanos, human monk

B4cchus said:
Odno's words echo across the room, initially followed by silence.
But not lang after the echo's start dying away a voice answers in plain common: "Have you come for the amulet?" it asks in a high pitched voice.
You can't point out a clear origin of the voice as it echoes across the room.

Eanos nods his congratulations to Odno for having the presence of mind to ask aloud.

"We seek the amulet of dawn, or what pieces of it might reside here" he says.

"Umm, okay. May I ask your name, good guardian?" Alli wonders, "We did not sense an actual summoning taking place, so that makes it seem like you have been around here for a while. Don't you ever get lonely here?"

"Well, that monk guy over there is here for the amulet, but I actually don't really mind either way, since I think our employer is probably planning something shady. Since I'm not here for the amulet, can I stay? I'd like to talk with you. Let me see your face--I bet that the guardian of such a mighty and powerful object must be powerful and fearless! I would be honoured to meet you."

(OOC: She legitimately doesn't care if they get the amulet or not, since at this point she's half-worried that it could be used to make the devils stronger, especially since the imp let them in like that, and she hates devils. She's mostly here to experience being here and traveling with these people. She wants to help them achieves their dreams and desires and spread the word along the way to as many people as possible :)

I mean, the money would be nice, but in the grand scheme of things, the struggle between good and evil, chaos and law, and people's dreams, these are more important things. Compared to that, compared to your dreams, nothing else in the world matters. Alli hopes that she can teach more people to persevere, keep hope, and strive for their dreams no matter what it takes. She wonders if she can help the guardian break its shackles and fulfill its dreams.)

"Come again?" says Odno at Aletheia's unexpected assertions.

"Actually" says a short while after "You can trust that we mostly have good intentions regarding the amulet, and I say mostly because there's a monetary reward involved we'd pretty much prefer to have on our hands. However, it's also true we value some things over money, be it knowledge, the cause of good, or in the case of our druid companion, Nature itself. You may find that a more articulate approach will work a good deal better with us than mere utterances of cliched threats, specially if you describe, preferaby with some sort of detail, who are you and the history of this place and it's inhabitants."

'Odno, Odno, Odno. Don't mix business with curiosity...Hmm, I wonder if it's a pretty little pixie or something. If so, showing my holy symbol of Valessa might be a good idea, since she's the Faerie Queen...on the other hand, it could turn out sour if the guardian was a cute little demon or something like that.'

"If not for the amulet then why have you come here mortal? This shrine serves one purpose today and another in the past. If you did not come for the amulet then you must have come for it's other prpose in which case i should release your soul from it's mortal flesh before you can fulfill the shrine's origional destiny."
With that said the entrance behind you grows back into a solid wall.

A figure appears before you hovering in the sky above the pool.
It looks like a hybrid between an eagle and a human. It has a humanoid body mostly covered with feathers and it has wing-ilke limbs where it's arms should be. It's legs are like an eagle's with talons where its feet should be.

It wears large golden Elyssian symbol on an iron chain around it's neck. An almost exact copy of the symbol (but slightly smaller) adorns the chest of the creature. It looks like scar tissue.

ooc: i rolled for knowledge checks, Odno is the only one who can make something of it:

Although the creature has a strong resemblance to what is known as an Avoral, it seems slightly different from what you know of these creatures.
The best giveaway is the symbol on it's chest, which is not common fo Avoral.
furthermoer there are small things which seem out of place but you can't exactly lay your finger on.
