Odno saw it coming. (Initiative 19). Unless they (the birds) already are in melee with Eanos, Orno tries to shoot one of them out of the sky; he concentrates and emits a ray of pure cold from his finger, striking with incredible precision.

[sblock=ooc]Wee! Critical threat, with max damage (7 points of cold damage) (ignore the "initiative" tag, I forgot to change that part when I rolled the attack). Confirm roll is only 9, for 5 extra damage. Energy ray has a Close range, so if it isn't enough I'll spend focus to Enlarge the power and increase the range to 55 feet[/sblock]

OOC: Quarion shouts in surprise when he suddenly teleports to the center of the bridge. "What demonic magic is this?!" the angry elf exclaims.

But seriously, Quarion was waiting until a couple people were on each side so that they could help him get Garma across. I was planning on having Quarion carry him or something...

Anyway, I don't have access to IC right now, but I did roll a 4 on my own. =(

Eanos, human monk

Eanos steadies himself as the birds descend. Deciding that trying to take down the birds while in the middle of the bridge is just asking to fall, he instead concentrates on finishing his cross, putting his speed and focus into keeping the birds from connecting with himself rather than fighting them.

Standard action is Full Defense (+6 AC due to Tumble synergy, so AC 24), with a move action to finish crossing (I assume "almost halfway" means there's no appreciable difference in the distance between one end and the other. If one is closer, he'll cross to whichever side that is).[/sblock]
