"Since we don't have a cage or anything, let's make friends. Birds like berries, right? Let's offer the illusion birds some berries from the bush in the other room and make nice with them so that they'll stay with us, rather than violently forcing them along."

*Aletheia will see if any birds will come to her with the berries. If so, she'll pet the bird and make soothing sounds and see if it stays. If that's insufficient, she'll try to get Quarion to do the same with his Druid mumbo jumbo--Wild Empathy generally shouldn't matter with an illusion, but who knows.*

Ally plucks a berry from the bush and tries to lure a bird with it.
Unfortunately the birds completely ignore the tasty treat and continue with thier endless flying routine. Quarion's 'druid mumbo jumbo' has no appearent effect on the illusionary birds.

"Well if they are going to ignore us...it should be easier to catch the illusions, I guess...they are used in order to overcome darkness...so maybe it would be appropriate to shutter one inside a lantern."

Quarion translates the new whisper for everyone. "It seems to go against my own druidic beliefs, that 'the joy of life is power to be harnessed'. It is not so much capturing the life and using it, but a celebration of the life and a spiritual boon granted by the harmony of souls. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, as it were." Following along this train of thought, Quarion moves into the center of the room and sits for a while, examining the birds and their movements. (Are they random, or do they follow set paths?) He tries outstretching a hand, and even tries emulating a few bird calls, to no avail. He shakes his head and walks back to the entrance. "They are not like real birds, and my connection with nature is of no use on them. Strange, if this is a druidic temple..."

He helps Aletheia with trying to catch a bird in a lantern.

ooc: sorry for the dealy folks, i've been sick the last couple of days (and still am a bit)
The party goes about catching one of the birds in a lantern. After some runnning around and swining the lantern you succeed in 'catching' one of the birds in the lantern.
As the birds flies in you throw the door of the shut and instatly the bird somewhat dissapears and starts glowing a warm light.
