. Everything seems to be going with the PCs, so now they are 'rescuing' her and bringing her back to Phandalin and to get more XP to try and go back to kill the dragon again.

So she escapes and disappears. Maybe they encounter her later on; maybe they don't.

In the module the dwarfhold fell a couple hundred years ago. I was placing it in the Phandalin region and have it falling a short time after Phandalin, so maybe 600 years. That is a long time to be left alone with only passing adventurers and a few encounters with the duergar.

Also, doesn't Charm now automatically tattle on you once the target saves or it ends? How does the fighter not know she tried to mind whammy him?

She could impersonate a baroness or other member of nobility and seduce a street rat thief, helping him slowly amass power until he becomes the mayor or even king. Then they could get "married" and have many cambion children together, until a party of adventurers discover the plot and set out to overthrow them.
