Buffy FInale (Possible spoilers, but mainly speculation)

i would also like to say that this season has come full cirlce. The school, the hellmouth, things said this season and things said first season (Buffy telling the SITs 'Here Endeth The Lesson' ... the EXACT same thing the Master said in Never Kill A BOy On The First Date to the Order of Aurilius).

Its all coming full circle. And one of the things i recal is Buffy telling the gang "Dont go Wild Bunch on me."

Things are looking pretty grim.

I have the inside scoop if anyone wants to know whats going on ...

I dont really want to know everything that happens but I would like to know if there is going to be a big crossover...if whats happening in angel with the beast/whatever its boss is is connected to the whole buffy/the first thing or not.

well without teling you everything, i can say this.

Yes, Angel will cross to Buffy and we already know Willow is coming back to Angel.

And since they are in the same universe, yes, the Beast, Antichrist, First Evil is all tied together

Antichrist? which one is that?

Hmmm....I wonder if that means that watever is possesing/asumming the form of Cordelia is actualy the First?

I don't really have any surmising to add, except that Dawn is probably a potential slayer too and they just haven't figured it out yet.

Actually, they've gotten at least some evidence that Dawn is not a potential Slayer. There was a bit of magic done to locate a potential whose exact location was unknown. It specifically did not find Dawn.

No, it ambiguously found Dawn then Amanda. The assumption was that becuase it ended at Amanda, and has some weird side-effects on her, it only found her. They could have misinterpreted that. Then again, later in that episode, they showed that Amanda had some intuitive ability to fight vampires while Dawn didn't, but then again, when Buffy was giving that "what a slayer is" speech and they kept cutting to Dawn fighting the vamp, sometimes it indicated yes ("know your surroundings ... everything around you is a weapon"), and sometimes it indicated no ("don't think too much").

If she is (odds are against it), I'd imagine the discovery going like this: Final fight, the First is smart and kills all the SITs before Faith. Faith dies, then Dawn is called and DOES survive, preserving the line. That would work well with the rumored Dawn spinoff, but unfortunately it looks like they WERE planning on tha troute and didnt go that way. Until this season, most fans hated Dawn. Far less do now, but in th meantime the spinoff seems to have got nixed.

What if....

What if the Slayer is unable to beat the First Evil 'cause she's not powerful enough?

What if she's not powerful enough because the "Slayer Power" is currently divided between Buffy and Faith?

What if that's why the First Evil is making his move now? 'Cause Buffy and Faith co-existing has weakened the "Slayer Power" and he thinks he can make his move? The "Death of Buffy" being referred to by the Big Eye isn't the most recent one - it's the one that activated Faith -- and the First Evil just took a few seasons to get his act together?

So, in the season finale (which will feature Angel), Buffy "gives up" her Slayer power, passing it to Faith (who will be featured in the final 5 episodes, I think) so that she can defeat the First Evil.

So, the series ends with Buffy, alive but normal, no longer having to give of herself to save the world. It's sorta been her underlying desire for the past few years -- to not have the responsibility.

Buffy walks off into the sunset, to find her place in the world and leave the world of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" behind.

Also, SMG has said that she'd be happy to do guest spots as "Buffy" in any future spin-off, assuming that she survives the finale (she didn't know at the time of the interview, I think).
