[Buffy] Spoilers - Tonight's episode

Has the gang gone crazy? I mean fighting in public and just openly talking like that?

You know, I'd figure the "gang" would get a lot more support in demon hunting if they let people know what was going on. The first thing I'd do as Slayer (besides the obvious ;) ) would be to videotape a bunch of demons, take it to Channel Six, and then show a demon nest to the unbelievers.

Once the regular Jane or Joe knows about the demons, they won't be so ready to die.

And what conection that has with Buffy. Perhaps it has somethign with her dieing and coming back. She is somehow conected to all slayers. Just a random idea, but the Run, Lola, Run beginning was cool. I didn't make the conection till I read that here.
I dunno if this means anything but the Slayer line doesn't go through Buffy anymore. When she "died" in season one and Kendra was active the line diverted to Kendra. And when Kendra died the line was passed to Faith. So (according to Joss Whedon) the line goes through Faith not Buffy.

Although, all the slayers (even though there are supposed to be only one alive at a time) have some kind of mystical bond, as proven over the course of the show. :)

Speculation rules. I can't wait to see what is cooked up for the rest of this season.....

...and be told by the newsfolk, "gee, that's pretty good makeup for amateurs." They established in the very beginning of the series that humans in the Buffyverse have a huge tendency to rationalize away that which doesn't fit their normal worldview. Your tactic would be ineffective.

For example, that fight in the Bronze - demon faces and people getting kicked through the air? That'll become a drunken brawl between two really ugly people in the witnesses minds soon enough.

See, I'm guessing that Channel Six wouldn't air that footage without talking to their corporate superiors (for fear of being the victims of a hoax). And before their corporate superiors gave the go-ahead, they'd talk to their lawyers over at Wolfram and Hart.

C'mon. They're in LA. You think they're not the law office of choice for the entertainment biz? :D

I really am enjoying this season so far. I like Spike immensely and like the good (well, sorta) Spike. James performance last night was awesome. I like how he transitions between soft, nicer Spike to the nastier, old Spike. Is he kinda having a split personality disorder from getting "the spark"? The last scene of the episode was really emotional and really drove home the turmoil inside Spike.
Spike has the same problem as Angel - there are two personalities inside his body vying for supremacy. One is William, his human soul. The other is Spike, the demonic entity who has been there for over a century. The difference from Angel is that Angel's human soul is apparently a lot stronger than Spike's, and thus has less trouble with keeping the demon down (or maybe it just has more practice).

About the SIT (Slayers In Training), yes, we will see many more im sure, at least till mid season. And Buffy knows about them because, like all Slayers, they know when 'trouble be brewin over Sunnydale'
Buffy has been having prophetic dreams since back in season 1.

I think initially that has mostly to do with the curse placed on Angel...but that over time, it's bolstered his strength with practice. We'll see, I guess. I suspect this is one of the reasons that Angel is the one everyone knows as the Vampire With A Soul (TM)....because other vampires who get their souls back (assuming it's happened more than twice) fare about the same as Spike/William.

My theory on the Slayer-in-Training deaths is that they all die, leaving only Dawn to be Chosen. Seems to fit with the other pieces of the puzzle.

I'm getting a pretty good kick out of the season. In addition to being less depressing, serious evil seems to be afoot. The sharp contrast between our heroes and the villians is back!

Remember though, Angel went through his own crazy, eating mice, oh my god what have I done phase as well. It just happened a hundred or so years ago. Spike has only had his soul back for a few months. Maybe he'll work through it or maybe he won't but there's a whole lot of stuff going on in his head right now.
