I totally agree. Except that you find it broken. Somewhere the standard bard has this reliable ability talent by default... don´t remember where.

Bards get a better version of Remarkable Athlete at 2nd level, Jack Of All Trades. It basically gives them half their proficiency bonus on all checks, not just Str/Dex/Con. That's why my example was Rogue11/Bard2. Reading through the PHB, I don't see anything in their class description along the lines of Reliable Talent.

And it is only better half of the time. You round down instead of up and no additional benefits.
