Building Mister Tripper

As said in the other thread: It's a typical D&D problem. And looks like you play 3.0.

Items are a substantial part of a character, especially in high level D&D. Spellcasters are less defined by them than fighters... but it's one of the most important things (besides class choice) for any high level char.
Yup. I think using the 3.5E version of the feat would fix my problem. Looks like I'm going to have to break down and buy the books...

I'll be DMing a super tripper tomorrow:
Half-ogre, 32 Strength, 10' Reach (15' when using his Warshaper ability--from the Complete Warrior), Improved Trip, Knockdown, Combat Reflexes, and something else I can't remember. Every attack he makes that does 10 points of damage or more (his strength bonus is +11) initiates a free trip attempt, with a +25 bonus.
Nothing can get within 15' of him, except tumblers, and none of them can stand toe to toe with a 16th level Barbarian, Fighter, Wolf lodge member, Tribal Defender, Warshaper. His group wil be arriving in Menzoberranzan tomorrow, where there will be many tumbling Swashbuckler-Fighters and Rogue-Fighters.
