Campaigns you want to play (or run)

Something I'm working on now with a friend is a PbP involving planehoppers on a mission for a god. A lot neat possibilities since it would be time and space related- example- What if Elminister was not a good guy? What if Drizzt never had a caring father? What if Orcs ran a moonshine business in a CoC type campaign. Should be fun at the very least.:D :D

1. The Chosen Ones.

I've always wanted to run a campaign where the Gods are dying, but they've decided to grant their powers to worthy mortals before they die. So, they send out emissaries to a group of people, (IE, the God Of War seeks out all the great warriors) and tell them if they can complete X series of tasks, they will become a God.

You could run this campaign for any level of characters, though I'm pretty sure it would wrap up around level 40, and the varied conflicts and quests you could integrate would be wonderful, in my mind.

2. The Dark Realms.

I really like the Realms, but it seems a bit too stable and non threatening at times, to me. So I've always considered making it darker, killing off Elminster and other protectors, and really throwing the doors open to the forces of evil that exist in the Realms to start taking over.

The only reason I haven't tried either of these campaigns is they would both take a lot of work and time to set up, which I don't have.

Hrm...
To supplement the FR ( Dalelands/Sembia) and the FR ( Underdark) campaigns I'm running...
Both of those have some serious comedic elements which have me itching for some grit.

1) Fallen in love with the idea of of pirates of the sand dunes on high masted magic ships. Swashbuckling, flavourful cultures, eeevvvviiillll baddies and all that jazz. Go for a high fantasy feel a la Final Fantasy 3 (6?).

2) Being a pervy drow fancier I'll probly work on writing a comedic Underdark adventure. Comedy of errors with the deadly taste of poison, stubbing toes as you slink in the dark towards the next hit.
Have the perfect group for this idea. Bwaha!

3) Six years later still working on my homebrew setting. Converting it to d20 for simplicity's sake.
There are no arcane casters. All magic is under direct control of the eight gods. These gods control everything strictly. Gaining their favour, ire and occasionally seeking to fly under their radar are great objectives.
Three humans races ( civilized, plainsmen, seamen), three elder races, close to the fey in Exhalted ( the godsfolk, the warriorfolk and the seafolk) and then the folk that don't have anyplace ( the spirit folk: close as elves get on the homebrew)( the rat people: chosen race of one of the gods)( the desert people: another semi-fey race, hardy desert people).
Arcane casters are introduced with one off kilter figure in the timeline. It'll be a hell raising campaign with the clergy of all eight gods either seeking to destroy, harness or help the little sorceress.

I'm most looking forward to a swashbuckling camapaign right now. We are currently playing one campaign in Scarred Lands and one in Kalamar so a change of pace is to be deeply appreciated.

The whole group is pretty psyched about this 7th Sea d20 book called Swashbuckling from AEG and we've begun rounding up copies. We've got two for the time being but I can't seem to get mine. Nevertheless we are all but ready to go.

Last friday we tested the system with about half the regular group and we all liked it very much. The rules really feel like fencing with AOOs and ripostes all over the place. I can tell you that Combat Reflexes is a powerful feat.

We are still tinkering with the rules though as Théa don't have magic per standard DnD. That means no healing spells. We decided that all damage heals automatically after each fight and strange as it may seem -it works wonderfully! Now we only need to devise a way for characters to have their limbs cut off in order to fit hooks and pegs. :) (The rules cover this but not in a way we like.)

1) Lankhmar (From the Fritz Leiber Fafhrd and Grey Mouser stories). Would love to play a freelance rogue in Lankhmar.

2) Sanctuary (Thieve's World). Would dig this as well.

The downside with those two is, of the people I game with, I'm the only one who knows these well enough to DM them .:(

3) Gamma World. And a nice corny version of it too, not as an Alternity or d20 Modern setting.

4) Hackmaster, using all the retrofitted 1E classic modules.

As far as what I would like to DM:

1) A good old OD&D game set in Mystara. Because I have around 95% of the products, in print, not ESD, and the Moldvay edited Basic set is where I got started.

2) Kalamar or Scared Lands. Can't decide which I like better.

3) An old 1E classic Greyhawk campaign. I'm sure some of you rolled your eyes, but I like that stuff.

The game I'm currently working on.

Think The Mummy Returns (the scene with the pygmies), Tomb Raider, Indiana Jones, with a little Gilligan's Island thrown in for good measure.

I'll play pretty much anything. However, I want to play Champions and Exalted sounds cool as well.

I'd like to run Book 3 of Night Below. With a few minor tweaks, I think that the scenario would be great.
