Can Dextyr Keep All These Strikers Alive? (DM: JoeNotCharles, Ozymandias79 Judging)

[SBLOCK=OOC]
OK LS, I will leave Tristan where he is.
As a "healer" I was looking at it from the defensive angle, but I suppose as a striker you want to get in that next shot ASAP.
Action will be revised.

[sblock=OOC]No worries - I recognized that you were trying to get me out of harm's way, and I appreciate that. Thanks! :) I'll try not to drop again ...

[Edit] My previous post doesn't sound too friendly ... sorry about that. I was just getting a little frustrated with not being able to chase down that drake ;) We'd all be quite thoroughly dead if Dex wasn't along with us - he's doing good work, and I'm thankful for that. :) [/edit]

My thoughts were: the faster we kill the drake, the less chance it has to put more damage on us ;) And to that end ...[/sblock]
Tristan finds himself woken again by Dextyr's restorative magic, and this time his prey is right at his feet. "My thanks, Dextyr!"

Standing and whirling around to strike in one movement, the elf's grin returns even through his pain as his sword lands a cut on the drake. "You won't escape me again, beast!"

[sblock=Actions]Regain 11 hp from Dex's majestic word.

Move: stand up

Lord Sessadore;49407... why would you slide me to S11? Then I'd have to spend yet another round standing and moving without attacking ... [/QUOTE said:
You can always refuse forced movement given by an ally - just let me know. I just stopped mentioning it every time.

[sblock=OOC] I was wondering where everyone had gone. It's been a while. I believe we're waiting on Joe to tell us what the spitting drake will do next. I don't think Tristan's last hit killed it.

Some XP from the last two encounters would also be nice. Especially if I can level up inbetween;).[/sblock]

EDIT: dammit, I missed a post. No time to edit now. Drake is down 11 from what I posted, and is bloodied. It still pecks at Tristan, he's just not prone (but results are the same) and Tristan gets to shift to be adjacent, and isn't prone.

[sblock=OOC]
Don't worry, I didn't forget about you. Patience.

For the next month or so, I'm probably not going to have time to make big posts (involving editing maps and things) except on weekends.

Mikara, I'll give out XP as soon as you take an extended rest.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Action Changes]
Mikara, I have you down as "prone", so you need to use your move action to stand up. So you're still at V8, and can shift from there after your Nimble Strike.

I'm going to say that moving Tristan's body without hurting him more is a Standard action, so Tonk can't do it without spending an AP. Besides, Tristan seems to want to be in P10.

Dextyr, please list how many extra HP Majestic Word gives back each time. I really don't have time to go check your character sheet every time right now. I think it was 4 so I gave Tristan back 11 hp - please correct me if I'm wrong.
[/sblock]

Mikara pulls herself to her feet and sends an arrow into the woods, whistling between the tree branches but missing her target. Tonk circles the boulder and brings his mace down on the guard drake, shattering its skull and feeling a surge of energy enter his arms.

While the spitting drake is eyeing Tonk's taunting, Blade circles around it and slashes at it from behind. The drake, injured for the first time this fight, lets out an astonished squawk.

It lets out another astonished squawk as its prey opens its eyes, and it bends down to peck at Tristan again. He rolls aside and it comes up with a snoutful of dirt. The drake shifts aside with a peculiar shuffling sideways hop, trying to get out of the confining trees.

The horses hoofbeats fade away into the distance.

[sblock=Status]
The Spitting Drake attacks Tristan: Bite at Tristan (w/+2 combat advantage for prone) (1d20+6+2=12, 1d6+2=7) It shifts to P8.

The horse runs off the map.

Your turn again. Mikara gets a free shift before her turn starts (left over from last turn's Nimble Strike).

Needlefang Drake Swarm (-3/38)
Light Warhorse (4/38)
Guard Drake (0/48, whenever Dextyr's allies hit it they regain 4 hp)
Spitting Drake (26/38)
Hobgoblin Subcommander (-9/48)

Mikara (17/24 hp, Hunter's Quarry on Guard Drake)
Tonk (20/24 hp, +1 to Intimidate, allies get +1 to Stealth against enemies who can see him, but -1 Perception while within 10 squares and LOS)
Blade (20/29 hp + 4 thp, Oath of Enmity on Spitting Drake, the first time any other enemy hits or misses Blade before EONT it takes 4 radiant damage)
Dextyr (6/28 hp)
Tristan (11/28 hp, Oath of Enmity on Spitting Drake, prone)

"You won't escape me that easily."

[sblock=Actions]
Minor: HQ on the spitting drake
Move: R8
Standard: Nimble Strike
Target: Spitting Drake
Attack: 1d20+7+1 (I now have prime shot since no one is closer) = 28! Critical!
Damage: 15+1d6+1d8=25 Dang 1 point away. Will he die if I spit on him?.
Sorry. I rolled the 1d10 anyway, but the 1d6 came up 6! Can't remember if I have to roll HQ damage on a critical. If so here's the link to that roll, 1d8=4 I already figured it into the total (25).
Effect: Shift Q7

OK Blade, Tristan, he's down to 1hp at most. I'm giving either one of you +2 to hit if you move to O9. The other can move to P7 and help out Tonk. Let's get rid of this thing.
[/sblock]

Crossing the road, she lets fly with an arrow that burries itself in the spitting drake's back.

"Now that is the way
we, in Si Falingalen,
treat our enemies!

Too bad you won't last long enough for the lesson to do you any good!"

Hey, Joe! Did you cross out the horse because it bled to death from Mikara's Hunter's Jaws attack (or whatever it's called)? Tonk thinks that a lot of meat going to waste...

Tonk closes with the final drake and attacks. "Mama say, 'It no good for to spit in public! Is no like by lady!'"

Move: from Q10 to Q9.
Minor: Hunter's Quarry on Spitting Drake
Standard: Disheartening Strike v. AC (1d20+6=23, 1d8+1d6+8=15)

SPLAT!

I'm thinking there's a magic mace somewhere in that hobgoblin's gear. Anyone?

"Hey, is flag of rude person who send monster for to keep me from poop a magic flag? If no is magic flag, I have use."
