Tonk leans over and elbows Blade in the ribs. He grins and whispers, "I think maybe she is little of the jealous, no?"

Still grinning, Tonk says, "Is okay, I think. I do like with Lilf and beat her and tie her upside down and ask if she want for to be good person. Maybe is that she make the bad choice early in life and no feel she can get away, yes? So, I help. Then, she love me forever. Is beautiful story of much redeem, no?"

"Well, maybe she is, or maybe she isn't. Either way I care not. Now Punch brother, what shall we do with the cloak? Perhaps either Dexter or Mikara take it as myself, you, and Tristan all like to get nice and close to our enemies." Blade replies.

"Well if it is alright with everyone I would like to take the cloak. I wasn't all that fond of getting a sling stone in the back of the head from Lilf, and perhaps this item will prove its worth" replies Dextyr.

Looking at the note Dextyr thinks for a moment.
"These names sound like members of the Ruddy Drakes: Merilee Blackstone, archer famed for her blinding speed; Smarmo Dingledoth, reformed gnome cat burgler; and Mokha Kalla, hobgoblin warleader. The other three are Timmus, Paladin of Apoli; Freida the Fox, human shaman who is rumored to have been raised by foxes; and Igneth the Sage of Whitefork.

I hope that by killing Mokha here we do not have to face these others in force, for that fight would not be in our favor."

When the drake finally drops, Tristan glares at it, kicks it in the ribs, then drops his sword on its neck, severing it's head. "Beast," he practically spits at the corpse.

*And coming back to the present*
Tristan shakes his head at Tonk and Mikara's drama, letting a little smile slip. "He is implacable," the elf mumbles under his breath.

"I won't stake any claim on the cloak. But those Ruddy Drakes don't sound good. We should find a safe place to rest the rest of the night. With luck, we can avoid an encounter with the rest of them." He pauses for a moment in thought. "Have any of you slept in a tree before? People don't look up when they're looking for a person, you know. It could work." Tristan finishes his proposal with a smile, though whether it's because he thinks it really could work or because he's entertained by the thought of Blade trying to balance in a tree while sleeping he doesn't say.

Tonk gives Dexter a thumbs-up.

Tonk breaks out in a gale of laughter. "He steal...(HAHAHA!)...from...(HO-HO!)...CAT?! No, no, no, no, no! You pull leg of me, right?!"

"We should find a safe place to rest the rest of the night."

Tonk scowls and groans. "Mmmmnnnn. No. I think maybe we keep go and find house of lawyer and stick with plan. The more soon we get lawyer, the more soon is no more people for to try and kill us."

Hey. Don't look at me. I had to choose between two things on my wishlist (OK, so Twin Strike wasn't on my wishlist, but I've been campaigning for Joe to let me level up solely for the purpose of retraining into that power). I hate it when I have to prioritize . But honestly, I think that Dextyr needs it the most. He's been bloodied in just about every battle we've been in.

Yeah, I realize now that a cloak of distortion isn't the best choice for Blade, especially with Dextyr getting pummelled by ranged attacks. It's IMHO the best neck item in the game so I'm sure many people want it.

I do appreciate it Joe, but it would most likely be better served in either Mikara's or Dextyr's hands...
