the idea is to build a Paladin and fight only with shield using
Shield expert and divine shield to boost Both atack and defense

Can i use a shiled like a sword/mace etc... doing multiple attack or with a shield I can only make 1 off hand attack each round ?

i fond no rules about this

I can sense reapersaurus to jump here and explain it to you in detail.

Basically yes, a shield can be used to shield bash as your main weapon.

WHAT!?!?!?!? A PALADIN WITH NO SWORD/LANCE!?!?!?

This is unheard of! But it might be kind of cool. I thought that my Wizard might do this with Small Mithral Metal Shield.

Shield Bash Attacks: An opponent can be bashed with a shield,
using it as an off-hand weapon. A Medium-size character deals 1d4
points of damage (X2 crit) with a large shield or 1d3 (X2 crit)
with a small one. (The tower shield cannot be used to perform the
bash action.) A Small character deals 1d3 points of damage (X2
crit) with a large shield or 1d2 (X2 crit) with a small one. Used
this way, the shield is a martial bludgeoning weapon. For
purposes of attack penalties, treat a shield as a light weapon.
If the shield is used as a weapon, lose its AC bonus until the
character's next action (usually until the next round)
This only says off-hand but I would think that if you carried the shield in your primary hand, you could apply your full strength bonus to it's damage. Wonder if you could use it two handed?

Note that a shield bash requires martial weapon proficiency (not just proficiency with the shield in question). Regardless, you can certainly use it for your normal (and iterative) attacks like you could anything else.

If you were a 6th level paladin and all you had was a shield, and it was in your off hand, I do not think you could get three attacks (primary, iterative, and off-hand) with it; but you could do primary and iterative.

BTW, you'll want to pick up Shield Charge. And be sure to use a wooden shield so that your friendly neighborhood druid or cleric can cast Spikes on it (double crit range and + level damage). :)

awwwwwwww yeeeaaahhhh, baby. ;)

Shield-bashing paladins rock.
But it would be more effective to be a cleric/fighter (maybe a level of ranger)
Paladins don't really get any abilities that are effective in combat other than smiting, and that's truly too weak to hardly consider.
