Can one PC choose not to take a rest? (Dark Spiral Aura and Rod of Corruption woes.)

My first character in D&D4 was a warlock just like this one. Not only she didn't skipped short rests, but ALL rests. Between quests, she spent a lot of time sleeping - otherwise lots of cofee, sugar and chocolate and D&D4 ecstasy pills (just for flavor and roleplaying) let her act as a electric sort of behavior. And since she was so cute (gnome), she seemed like the Baby Earl when he ate full bags of sugar (and a horn grew in his forehead)!

I guess darkspiral aura saved me thousand times, just because I was so bad at attack rolls, I would miss 3/4 of the time when attacking anyway!

Yep, assuming the block of tofu stands on an infinite, otherwise empty plain without any detrimental environmental conditions.

I believe the Plane of Infinite Tofu is in Paizo's Multiverse, not WotC's.
