Can you Really kill someone?

If you can kill someone important enough to warrant all this effort that would be spent attempting to raise him, then you're probably powerful enough to kill a few more people.

Just waste the people who would True Ressurect him too. Then you can just dispose of the bodies to prevent their return.

yep thats what i ment. thanks for correcting it. but reincarnation only works provided the creature has been dead no more than 1 week before the casting of the spell. so there wouldn't be enough time for the PC to do anything, unless they had reincarnate already preped and they found out in time.

on his plane of death one week would zip by.

the various kill, ressurect, kill ressurect.. etc posts dont work. the guy's soul would NOT be willing to be ressurected by the guy who killed him. Maybe once, but not twice.

True Resurrection does not work if the target has died of old age. Since Wish and Miracle are the same level as True Resurrection, I doubt they would be able to do what it cannot. Therefore, age the target till death, then dump the body (husk?) on the temple steps...that should get someone's attention.

Ah yes. But True Reincarnation has no such limitation.

"This spell is the same as reincarnate, except that the druid can reincarnate a creature that has been dead up to 10 years per caster level."

So it does have a time limit, but it does create a new body for the person who died so they can be brought back if they died of old age ( I think).

I guess I should have mentioned the 10yr limit on True Reincarnation (yeah thats it ... I didn't just forget it ...)

The idea of killing someone on a time accelerated plane can work (hell, I even suggested it) but it has to be VERY accelerated. You are going to need around 200 years (more if you are accounting for epic levels.)

If there was some way to change his type to Outsider (not Native Outsider) and then kill him, that would work alright. Of course I know of no ways to change the type of someone, at least against their will (turning them undead aside ...) and even then I vaguely recall a Ressurect Outsider spell somewhere.

Dunno where it was and if it had any limitations on it, however.

How about you use Modify Memory to make them think they did something so terrible that they don't want to live anymore? Then, just offer to kindly put them out of their misery.

While it is easy to bring someone back, don't dismiss that most people probably do not want to come back. The afterlife may be more than they enjoy in life. This is probably more true with the good-axis beings

A king, for example, may be tired of all the deceit and politics, but would never consider something so base as taking his own life. But once it is over, his soul does not wish to return to they grind of life.
