D&D 5E Changing Sneak Attack to Light Weapons

I always viewed sneak attack as sneaking and attacking.

That made the most sense to me.
Except you don't need to be sneaking any more. The target just needs to be distracted by having that barbarian trying to chop their head off. The rogue waits for their moment and goes for the cheap shot because they're sneaky SOB's.

So sneaky attacking, rather than sneaking and attacking? Perhaps attacking sneakily...

Well now, "cheap halfling rogue" does conjure up a whole bunch of different images, dunnit? Where's Bilbo? Oh, you know him, two brandies in and he's dragged one of the Half Orc serving wenches upstairs...
Well, I don't know about Bilbo, but I agree with Sam that Rosie Cotton was quite a looker. :D
