Character Design: Primal Drow

Just to update:

Ended up going with the scout with the Precision Throw feat. It worked beautifully - the player really enjoyed the constant shifting and good damage output, and the rest of the party seemed to have a blast with the new element it brought to the table. Once the player got the hang of changing stances before attacking, he adapted very well to the character. Went with a cutting wheel in the offhand, which while it cost a feat was a helpful boost to his defenses and kept his damage die consistent and easy to remember (d6 for main and offhand alike).

The reason I didn't use an executioner is basically that it lacked any sort of "natural" flavor, and the character was supposed to be a tribal belgoi. The scout's wilderness tracking and ambush knacks both fit perfectly with the behavior the group had seen from belgoi, and the drow long knife gave it a flavor they'd not encountered in the setting as well as a flexibility that really complimented the group.
