Character Submission Thread

RE: Looking over Tirgras:
a) I thought that as a druid with an intelligence modifier of zero, I only got four points. Am I missing one from somewhere?
b) Thanks, I thought I might have misunderstood that feat. Now replaced with Improved Unarmed Strike to work up to Improved Grapple.
c-f) Thanks so much for the help with conventions and formatting. I was getting a bit overwhelmed. I think I fixed f)

Suggestions:
a) The dagger replaced the pick, which really did feel out-of-place in the possession of a character largely defined by how divorced he is from his racial heritage.
c) I think the venom is intriguing, but I agree that it might make more sense to at least begin with a constrictor, and then perhaps make a switch when my druid level is high enough for a medium viper instead of a small one.
d) Working on reformatting Class Features to reflect the change to Serpent Shaman at present.

Thanks again!

Cyclopean, you may want to change the color of that post. Not sure how many use it, but that color is nearly unreadable on the dark background of this website.

Re: Tirgas:
Ah, I see where. On a) I saw, "5 = [Base (4) + INT (1)/Level;" down in the skills section and hadn't scrolled back to the top to see that it should be INT(0). Fixed.

I would say keep the pick and add the dagger as the backup weapon. A dwarf with a pick is iconic. If you want him out of place, maybe a rapier and dagger. Just a dagger alone is a weak weapon because of its small damage die.

And yeah, 92% of the viewers are using the dark forum skin according to the poll. So, dark gray and dark purple disappear into the background for them.

Color has been changed. Should be more readable for everyone now, since it was pretty similar to the black text before. If 92% of users use the black background, might I suggest changing it to the default for new users? I think Grayn had a similar problem.

Sorry about that bit of negligence. I was juggling the stats quite a bit, but I think that now I have them where I want them: good physical stats for combat, high wisdom for magic, average intelligence so as not to hurt my skills, and at least a small charisma bonus so if I have a DM gracious enough to give me access to young snakes or stirges, I have a hope in Hades of domesticating them. Or might at a higher level, anyway.

The pick is back, and I corrected some math mistakes I made when subbing in the dagger. Topaz is now a constrictor with Toughness instead of Weapon Finesse, and he now is using the proper number of skill ranks.

Also: I'm not sure about the Savant trait. I mostly put it in there as a joke, and I have no intention of multiclassing to bard. He seems to be silly enough as it is with the little roleplaying I've done with him. I couldn't really find much in the way of appropriate druid or dwarven traits, though. Grounded or Strength of the Land would work, but I don't think they're approved. Any suggestions?

Dalkon (or anyone): I've been having some trouble putting up a profile pic. I realize the answer is probably incredibly obvious, but I'm stymied nonetheless.

Thanks.

Ellamin Quodak Taletreader is ready to step up to the vaunted status of PC as Ausk exits stage right. I need to fine tune the languages still, but everything else should be good to go. I have one question on one of the items. The clamor box says that there are four command word for 4 different sounds, and that the sounds equal the volume of 40 humans. Is it possible to change the sounds from the default sounds and volume down; the idea is that at least a few of the sounds would be nice to use as the opening crowd attention getter for his act.

I would say no unless you paid the time to have it custom crafted. The actions of the box are going to be set by the creator when it is crafted.

But that then gets very close to custom items which we don't want to do. So, I am unsure what to say.

PS. I am running behind on approvals, so it will take a couple days.

That's why I asked; the sounds themselves don't seem like it would be very difficult to work around; the volume is touchier and potentially more problematic.

And don't feel like you have to rush; I still have to get the last of the languages selected.
