Ok, not sure this is the place to ask, as this is more about the future of my character than the current stats. (Though current stats come in a little bit.) I came at this character from a concept, the idea of a sorcerer with abyssal blood that wanted to go as far as he could in rejecting it, to the point of devoting himself to following a good god. Thus, my idea of a sorcerer/cleric multiclass, with mystic theurge being the eventual goal.
Now, I'm not backing down on my concept or anything, but I just realized this is going to put me pretty low on effectiveness in the level 4-8 range, possibly even a wider range. I don't mind losing some effectiveness to play the character if it was just me, but I just realized that could hinder my groups.
So, my questions: Will this hinderance be enough that I should change my future plans, or will it not be enough of a difference to matter? If it will be a big enough issue that I should stick with single-class sorcerer, should I shuffle my ability points around so I'm not 'wasting' so many points on a high Wisdom I won't need? Or is it even too late?
If I don't change stats, (which I'm perfectly cool with), but do go through with changing my plans, this won't affect anything except those future plans. The concept will stay the same, but I can always have him just be unsuccessful in gaining the divine favour he's looking for. (Which could lead to some interesting character development too, if he has to learn to accept his bloodline, and the power it gives him, while still doing good.)
If, however, you don't think it'll be that much of a hindrance for my groups, I'm perfectly happy the way I am and going forward with my initial plans.
Sorry to ramble on so much on what comes down to a couple simple questions.
