Chatty Marshal

A martial needs to be able to give encouragement and instructions to allies for them to be able to get the benefits of an aura. This needs to be verbal, as it only affects allies who can hear the marshal, but requires no action (it's a swift action to start an aura, but continuing an aura takes no action). The amount of communication seems minimal, since, A - you can have two up at once and B - you can have them both up perpetually even when not in combat. So, what else can you do with your voice while still maintaining your auras?

1. Normal speach?
2. Command word activated item?
3. Give instructions to commanded/controled creatures?
4. Use sonic supernatural ability?
5. Cast a spell with a verbal component?
6. Use Bardic Music(oratory or song)?

Yes to everything

The rule states that the aura works as long as the allies can hear the marshal. Technically the Marshal doesn't have to say a thing and definaytely doesn't need to keep up constant chatter.

But for vessimilitude I'd use it along the lines of the Marshal has called an order, given a rallying call, sung a battle hymn, made a rousing speech, given a trumpet signal etc which stirs the blood so that the effect persists (as the ability states it does). Once the command is given the Marshal can do anything else s/he wants (as long as s/he stays in range - to act as a symbol for the troops/allies).
