Umm..Guys? I REALLY need some more votes as to which games I should run at the gameday (see post #22). Voting for one does not obligate you to play in it. I just want some opinions other than my own.
Well, I voted on what I'd like to play, and it was all entirely different games. :heh: Of that list, though, I'd probably be most interested in the OA adventure you describe. I like the SAS adventure, but I'd much rather do it in the M&M system.

No need for me to vote, nor to vote for what I will run. I'll be painting in the first slot (even if I don't officially get into the seminar) and I'll be running a D&D game in the second slot. The D&D game will be only for those who can stand to play really late. I plan to run it right up to (maybe through) midnight to bring in my birthday on the 24th! We may have to send out for some pizza to keep us going. As a special treat, I will be bringing gifts/prizes for those who are in my game and manage to survive until that wee hour. w00t!

Well, I voted already but... heck, just pick the ones you want to run the most. :) That, or start your own thread and ask it as a general question: If you were to attend a gaming event, which of the following would most appeal to you?

As far I am concerned, I could run it both slots, but since Mark wants to paint and, darn it, he has worked hard for this fine day to become what it has, I am officially moving the Painting seminar to the morning.
Done! Very generous of you, Toe.

If that does happen, I'd love to play a Diamond Throne game, if anyone's interested in running it.
I could if we get enough interest in it. I mentioned running one for a past game day but I didn't receive any replies.

Email me at jjaws9@charter.net if anyone would like to play Monte Cook's Arcana Unearthed in the Lands of the Diamond Throne.

Peace and smiles :)

OK, I vote for

But they all sound like fun!

I have run and played the M&M system. While I love the Character Creation system, I loath the combat system. Unless you critical, you do the same damage round after round. The stacking rules are too restrictive. I understand that they are in place to prevent min/maxing but they also ruin certain elements.

Example: we had a power armor PC with Protection rank 8. The problem was his Damage Save was 4. Every time he got hit by an attack of Damage 9 or higher he went down and out. As he was the brick of the group, he got ticked off pretty quick and gave up on the game.

As such I now prefer the SAS d20 system, which actually is quite similar to M&M. While Character creation is a bit more complex, the combat system allows for more variation in each battle. (Mind you, I ditched the SAS D20 skill system and use the D20 Modern one instead).

Have you tried out both systems?

The vote so far:
D&D - 1 :)
SAS d20 - 2.5 :D
OA - 1 :)
DDice - 0 :uhoh:

Sure, if I get people to play.

I got one vote so far. And that is all the way from Detroit.

Peace and smiles :)
