There's a possibility that me and a few others from Detroit (including maybe shadowlight, Quickbeam and Stockdale) will come up as well.
Booyah! :D

I'd also be interested in anything Dark•Matter (buzz, you still owe me!)
Hey, you had your chance. :p I may run another D*M game in the future, though, but I've already got my events for the next 3-4 Gamedays planned out. I guess I could run two events, but I dunno if I have the stamina for that. :)

buzz, you really need to start using the • when you type D•M. You'll lose your Dark•Matter cred if you don't take the graphical presentation of the setting name seriously enough. ;) Star*Drive, on the other hand, is probably just fine with an asterisk...

Of course, there's some flexibility here; you're perfectly capable of typing it Dark·Matter as well, or Dark●Matter, and Dark◦Matter or Dark○Matter is also very close to the original title logo, so are acceptable as well. Under no circumstance are you allowed to use a little heart, though, no matter how "cute" your wife may think it is. ;)

I was one of the people to be there for the last game day, but for heatlh reasons unable to paint with you at the table you chose. Games Plus now has some lights and such for painting at the other tables.. which they were nice enough to donate.. and I would be more then happy to help with the teaching aspect which I was planning on doing last time.. if you want some help that is :)

So please let me know, 1 if there is some room still and 2 if you would like some help with the seminar on helping painting?

BTW I co-run a paint shop at Games Plus every Wed night at 6pm so if you like, anyone is more then welcome to show up and have some fun with us as well.. socialize and maybe learn a tip or two or a technique you never used before :)

Yes, there is always room for more :) Especially more experienced painters. I apologize about last time, I was completely unaware of the situation until late in the night and I felt horrible. Please accept my appology.

Anyway I just didn't want to have more than 4 people who are looking for serious instruction. It is really hard to work with more than two people at the same time and I felt neglectful of a few people last time. Email me at mattburleigh@comcast.net and we can start bouncing some ideas off each other. I was thinking of bringing four of the same miniatue all prepped and primed and have the opportunity of doing a walk through of certain colors and techniques. Let me know!

Don't worry about it too much, guys...

Such are the sacrifices one must make, when one works a geek's dream job.

;)

Matt

Is FL gov't funded? Overtime is a horrible waste of $$$ only to be used in critical short term applications. I have worked in mfg long enough to know that. Maybe my congressman needs to know how inefficiently my tax money is being used :p

The up side being you would have more nerd co-workers and therefor potential gamers and would be free for more game days. No need to thank me

Paging the TOE! Paging the TOE! :p

Toe - I was hoping you'd run your painting seminar in the first slot this time. I'd like to be part of it but would rather use the open-ended, second slot for a game.

As far I am concerned, I could run it both slots, but since Mark wants to paint and, darn it, he has worked hard for this fine day to become what it has, I am officially moving the Painting seminar to the morning.

Most likely I will paint all day, but I am not sure yet. I get to game regularly, but finding time for painting is hard.

That's quite true for me as well. Maybe I should bring my skaven blood bowl team up pre-primed and whip up a coat while I'm there.

Except that I'll have to file a little of my green stuff modifications on the rat ogre first. Oh, and I wouldn't be able to try any new games that don't get in my rotation often enough, which is half the fun of gameday, though...

Damn right it's government funded. Dept. of Energy, my friend.

Of course, at the rate they pay us, overtime for two-dozen glorified technicians working 24-hours comes out to be a LOT less the time and cost of turning the whole laboratory off every night and back on every morning.

Off in the distance, from a lone mountain, a chant began. At first as a low rumbling, becoming more cohesive and distinct as it grew in volume. Soon it was quite clear to all what name was being honored in so pretigious a manner...

toe! toe! toe! Toe! Toe! Toe! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE! TOE!

Thanks! :p

Umm..Guys? I REALLY need some more votes as to which games I should run at the gameday (see post #22). Voting for one does not obligate you to play in it. I just want some opinions other than my own.

Thanks!

The vote so far:
D&D - 0
SAS d20 - 1 (2?) :D
OA - 1 :)
DDice - 0
