I voted Sigil because at least in Sigil I wouldn't have to worry about an avatar of knocking down my door or high jacking my pirate ship..... Hmmm... but then when you think about it a naval battle between Mi-go Pirates and the Imperial Navy of the Yellow Sign would be kind of cool..
I think I'm in love...

Alas, I must vote for the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, um I mean the Star Wars Cantina, no I mean, drat!

I guess I should vote for it because I liked Robin Williams in the Bird Cage. And who can resist the ultimate in phallic symbols, the infinite spire. And you gotta love a place where the NPCs and real life fans treat those who don't know the city like clueless inferiors.

Or I could vote for a city of pirates...

In true Survivor fashion I ask both sides a question:

Freeport Fans --> What makes your city any different from other pirate holds? What makes it better than the Hold of the Sea Princes or the Scarlet Brotherhood in Greyhawk?

Planscape Fans --> What do you think makes Freeport better than Greyhawk City (since we know it was PS fans voting against GH)?

:D

Well, I've been voting against Greyhawk city since I saw this survivor series (midway through) because it is boring, vanilla, blase, and underspecified. I am also a Planescape fan, but I voted against GC before I saw that Sigil was in trouble.

I think you greatly overestimate the importance of your single vote! ;)

Hey! I was raised American. Every vote counts. Right? Right!?

And don't change the subject just because you don't want to answer the question. :p :D

Besides, you never know. Greyhawk fans looking for revenge, Freeport fans, and Planescape fans that think they are voting off Freeport. It could add up. ;)

Yeah, and the last round switch from voting off to voting to keep is the "pregnant chads" of ENW D&D survivor.

I've at least seen and held various Freeport related supplements in my hands; even if I haven't read them. As far as I know, Greyhawk city has never been detailed or featured in its own supplement. I figure it probably has some kind of coverage at some point, but I've never seen or held such a book so I wouldn't call it accessible or even popular.

I've also never played Greyhawk and have never read or heard anything about the setting that would make me want to; it seems rather bland. I did read through the first few Freeport adventures and they seemed okay. I simply remember thinking to myself that Freeport itself seemed interesting enough, though I felt it lacked more detail to make it live. That was before the Freeport supplements were released.
