Never had rye.🤷🏾‍♂️

What’s a good way to give it a try? (Seriously.)
My wife and I have had some good luck trying new things at bars. If a place has a good selection, then the bartenders should be able to steer you to things that you might like. It's still a little painful for the per drink price, but it's cheaper than buying a bottle of something that you're indifferent to or worse. That said, Redemption makes some good stuff for around $30-$35 a bottle that could be worth a flyer if you don't want to bother with bars and bartenders. It's what we started with, and it's both decent for Manhattans and decent for sipping.

Sorry, let me clarify! I meant exactly what you suggested- trying something rye-based at a restaurant or bar.

I was looking for suggestions on what I should order!😀

So Manhattans are one. When you say sipping, are you talking neat/on the rocks? With soda? Or shots?

Apologies! If you like Manhattans, start there, and ask for rye instead of bourbon. I know it's classically made with rye, but my experience has been that a lot of places sub in bourbon. You'd have a framework for the differences. Sazeracs should have rye, too.

I hear the Sazerac is a good way to enjoy rye.

Just blended a bunch of grapes from my garden and strained them. About to see if I can make grape, pisco and yogurt into a cocktail without any recipe.....I think I need a lemon!

The one with more lemon and no orange liquor is a bit bitter.... But decent. The one with orange liquor is balanced. I think smoke would be good with yogurt.
