Old Fezziwig
hell yes bro
A carbonated mudslide sounds awful. I've never ordered anything that bad, but my wife once ordered a mojito at a Pizzeria Uno. They made it with peppermint schnapps.
This looks like fun!Last night my date requested something with a bit of holiday spirit, and I didn't have any specific ingredients so did a little googling based on what I had on hand. Wound up settling on an Enchanted Forest:
Instructions:
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz green Chartreuse
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz honey syrup
- Ice cubes
- Fresh rosemary sprig and a lemon twist for garnish
Instead of honey syrup I used Tamworth Distillery's Apiary Gin, which is flavored with honey, and regular simple.
- Chill a glass by filling it with ice.
- Combine the gin, green Chartreuse, fresh lemon juice, and honey syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared chilled glass.
- Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and a twist of lemon
This was delightful, though obviously pretty boozy. Some nice rich and sour notes balanced with just a bit of sweetness. Rosemary on the nose gives that extra dimension and sense of "forest".
