Since you seem to have a knack for both magic items and musical tie in's, how about Maxwell's silver hammer?

Bang bang Maxwell's silver hammer came down,
Upon his head.
Bang bang Maxwell's silver hammer,
Made sure that he was dead.

I had an old DM who had an NPC Maxwell with said hammer, but all it did was stun on a critical. I'm pretty sure you can come up with something more interesting, and fairly low cost (it was a 3-4th level campaign in 2nd edition).

My idea Re: Magic weapons

IMC I am having my players all create nifty "signature weapons" to be granted to them much later in the plot. One of these is for a vampire monk:

Soulblade: 2 +3 unholy longswords, OR 1 +4 dark energy (brilliant energy) shortspear.

The soulblade is not a manufactured weapon, but rather an extension of Kezith Miru's (the monk) dark energy as a vampire. It deals damage equal to his unarmed damage, carries no penalties for fighting with two weapons, and he may use the Flurry of Blows ability with it. He may change its form once per round as a standard action.

There is more background on how he gets this weapon and such, but I'm running out of time here. I'll update it later.
