D&D 5E Core Rulebook Set

Evandis

First Post
Hi, my Google-fu is failing me, cannot seem to find and updated product release list from WotC. Was just wondering if there was any announcement of a boxed set for the 3 core rulebooks, similar to what they did for 3, 3.5 and 4e?

That's a shame, I hope they decide to release this. I have passed on purchasing the 5e system so far in hopes that they will do this.

I don't have any real local gaming store anymore, and my local delivery personnel are not very careful delivering those stupid cardboard sleeves you get books in from Amazon and other online sellers and anytime I get a book delivered that way they are damaged (such as my most recent Pathfinder purchase). All the boxed sets I have ever received (which guarantees all 3 books are shipped together and need a better and bigger box) the box that holds the books is usually damaged but the books come out unscathed. It cuts down on a huge hassle I am sick of dealing with.

I'm hoping they eventually release collector's editions. Preferably something closer to the faux leather of 3e than the slightly shiner covers of 4e. A set might also be good. But it makes sense to wait until they do a revision of the books, so they can fix typos and clarifying wordings and possibly fix mistakes in the rules. So I imagine that'll be after a couple surveys.

Next time that happens I'd snap pictures of the sleeve (unopened) and the book and send it to customer service of Amazon and your local carrier. You never know, there might be a response.

You have my sympathy. Perhaps complain to you local delivery service? Not being able to ever receive books from Amazon sounds like a problem far larger than WotC can -or be expected to - solve!

That probably would be MSRP, yes, and I am sure the online store will sell it nicely discounted as they do the current books.

I would take a risk on ordering them as singles from Amazon all at once if they would get the DMG in stock already.
