Counterspelling with Wands/Scrolls???

Can you counterspell with a wand or a scroll?? I would think a scroll would be no problem but I'm not sure about the wand.

The wording on counterspell says:

... If you are able to cast the same spell and have it prepared(if you prepare spells) you cast it, altering it slightly to create a counterspell effect.

So if casting the spell from a scroll or wand it not possible as a counterspell would it be possible if the scroll or wand was made specifically to be a counterspell? For example if someone made a dispel magic wand usable only to counterspell??

I would say no as wands are spell trigger items and scrolls are spell completion items. In either case, the spell is either all ready set (cast), in the case of a wand or mostly set(cast) in the case of a scroll.

Counterspelling says you are casting the same spell slightly altered in order to counter.

Now you may house rule to allow, but I would say by the rule book you cannot counter spell with these items. Unless, they are scrolls or wands of dispell magic.

You could if the scroll or wand was made to counterspell, but a nomal wand or scroll would not work. As you quoted below the counterspell is altered as it is cast, wands and scrolls are stored spells.
