Technically a sorcerer with a subclass that let you cast a spell directly from sorcery points can cast it that way and then quicken the same spell or different spell.

Like a Shadow Sorcerer or can cast Darkness via Sorcery points then cast a Quicked spell with spell slots.

Corrected the 2nd spell has to be a normal bonus action slot spell.

Am I the only person in the world who cares that Magical Guidance was removed? That was soooo powerful, you basically got advantage on every important skillcheck you make. But I haven't seen a single guide or video even mention the fact that it's gone
Optional rules from Tasha are still valid

I disagree. Here's the metamagic text again:

"Cost: 2 Sorcery Points | When you cast a spell that has a casting time of an action, you can spend 2 Sorcery Points to change the casting time to a Bonus Action for this casting. You can't modify a spell in this way if you've already cast a level 1+ spell on the current turn, nor can you cast a 1+ level spell on this turn after modifying a spell in this way."

This overrides the "use a spell slot only once per turn" general rule. You can't cast two leveled spells in one turn with Quickened, regardless of whether they were cast with spell slots, sorcery points, or a magic item that casts spells.

Ah.

So you can't Shadow Darkness + Quickened Spell.

But you can Shadow Darkness + Regular Bonus Action spell.

Does Innate Sorcery work on Quicken Eldritch Blast?
I don't see why not. I don't see how quickened would even be a factor.

Edit: Reading Innate Sorcery closer (or at least, the D&D Beyond notes on it) changed my mind. It appears to only apply to Sorcery spells, so no.

Edit Edit: However, I haven’t seen anything so far that indicates warlock Invocations that enhance cantrips are limited to cantrips you know as a warlock. So you could fire away with Agonizing and Repelling ray of frost while using Innate Sorcery.
