This creature resembles a chubby human infant with wings. It carries a short bow and a quiver full of arrows with heart-shaped heads.
Cupids are giddy, playful creatures, always out for fun and mischief. Their primary pastime is the creation of goodwill, however, which they accomplish through the use of specially enchanted arrows of love.
Combat
Cupids do not engage in combat, and if so pressed they will always resort to their ability to charm nearly any creature they encounter. Since they detest combat, they will flee at the first opportunity.
Charming (Su): Any humanoid approaching within 20 feet of a cupid must make a Will save (DC 15) or be charmed as if by a charm person spell as cast by a 6th level sorcerer. There is no level or hit-dice limit to the number of creatures that can be so charmed. Affected humanoids do not initiate any hostile action unless attacked.
Emotions (Sp): 3/day—as per the spell as cast by a 6th level sorcerer.
Arrows of Love: Arrows of love always come in matched pairs, each magically tied to the other. To be effective, a matched set of arrows of love must strike two creatures of like species and (optionally--DM's discretion) opposite gender. On a failed Will save (DC 15), the two will become permanently charmed with each other. Should one target make the save and the other fail the save, the one that failed the save will be affected as though by an emotions: despair spell as cast by a 6th level sorcerer. Arrows of love inflict no damage.
Blur (Su): 1/day—as per the spell as cast by a 6th level sorcerer.
