[D&D 3.5] War of the Burning Sky [OOC] [Closed]

If you are right on the -1hp you will be at +7hp (but probably lying in the greasy dirt) begining of the next round. I think letting this guy get a full attack on you is a bad ideal maybe hit and run tactics from here on out I want to get in and either flank at full def (AC 23) or aid you and give you a plus to AC. Don't sweat it the big bad bearded mess will go down. :p

Agreed that I don't want this guy taking another full attack. The bad news is, however, that standing up from prone provokes AoOs, and if he gets to take an AoO on Arshen at this point then Arshen is probably just going to hit the dirt again. I've been trying to work out a way to avoid that, but I can't see one. Think I'll have to bite the bullet.

Just so there's a record of it, I've decided that creatures in a grease spell are considered to be balancing, as per the skill. Most significantly, if they don't have 5 ranks of balance they're considered flat-footed. It's my best guess as to RAI.

Also, I hope no one minds wrapping up the devil fight before all the lemures were killed. It seemed like half the party didn't really have anything to contribute to killing them, and they weren't really a big threat at this point.

Yep, I think the balancing part is a pretty common interpretation with Grease (which is especially nice, if you have a rogue around :)).

Good call with the lemures. :)

The horses were sent back to Gate Pass riderless. They were unwilling to go into the fire forest without some serious ride checks.

EDIT: And the horses would have each consumed potions of stand the heat. Torrent didn't have enough potions for both people and horses.

Fair enough. I'm just glad Hollister has a couple of spells that aren't fire based. Though interestingly enough, both web and grease can be lit on fire! :D

I had always assumed he took them at least in part because they could be set on fire. It was always part of my tactics for low level 2nd ed. wizards.
