D&D Movie/TV D&D Movie Hit or Flop?

And yet without new popular content people cancel their subscriptions. So without the ‘free’ content paramount+ is deader than a chicken at Popeyes in June. At least with free content they keep subscriptions which eventually can be leveraged into profit.
yes, but figuring out how much of that can be attributed to HAT and how much money in turn HAT made for P+ is pretty much impossible. P+ will have some logic for this that is not even remotely close to the truth, we do not even have that much

we could pretty easily establish a minimum millions earned from VoD though. Because every single nation on every platform where it ranks on a given day it has sold at least a single copy. I'd be willing to suggest that if it was number one on a given day it sold at least two copies.

We're talking tens thousands of nation-platform days for a thing selling at least $14.99 (that's rental only on the large platforms).

This statement is unhinged.
Subscribers to Paramount+ absolutely, without any doubt, pay for what they're watching. They pay between 4.99 and nearly 20 dollars, every month. Retaining those paying customers has immense value for a streamer.

Movies are kinda a one and done deal though.

TV shows sure. But outside the recently released window how many people are gonna hang around long term for a movie.

Your completely unsupported claim is that every movie is free.

There's no support for this in any discussion about the need for original content to maintain a streaming platform's user base.

They use a first click metric. Basically new subscribers and the toast thing they watch.

Not perfect by any means. You need content and your subscription rates need to exceed your costs of that content.

That's a very big problem right now. Disney's cutting content rates Paramounts long term ability is in doubt. They've got Trek and Survivor.

P+ also has the Champions League, NWSL, Yellowjackets, CSI, I love that for you, Billions, Shameless and much, much more.

Ignoring the CBS and Showtime properties that are generating signups, per investors, is why some people are insisting that Paramount+ will never turn a profit, despite, pre-strike the target was a 2024 profitability

Their FAST channel is the best and their larger losses were in linear TV.

Cheers all I know is Param is one of tge shortlisted streamers that may not make it.

Here some of theor content is on other streamers and I've heard 8n USA they've put some of the better Survivor seasons on Netflix but the rest are on Paramount.
Treks on a free TV app here along with Halo and a few others.

$14.99, really? I can rent it for $5.99 on Amazon right now (and buy it for $9.99), and depending on the country it can be be a lot less than that.

So, thousands at $2 or so for Paramount a day, sure, I grant you that, heck, make it $3 if you want to. At 10k a day and 60 days, that is what? Not even 2M... if you are in the hole for 100M, then that is not really making a lot of difference.
