Darrington Press has announced the first expansion for Daggerheart, which adds four new subclasses, a new domain, and several other new character-building options. At the onset of PAX Unplugged, Darrington Press announced Daggerheart: Hope & Fear, the first expansion for the Daggerheart TTRPG. The new expansion, which will launch in Summer 2026, contains 4 new classes - the Witch, Warlock, Brawler, and Assassin, each of which comes with two subclasses. Also included is the brand new Dread Domain, which is tied to Witch and Warlock classes. There will also be over 130 adversaries and 28 new environments in the books, along with four new Campaign Frame.

A Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition will be released for Daggerheart: Hope & Fear. Both versions come with the book and associated cards, with the deluxe edition featuring a gold foil box, dice, alternate art covers, and a rip pad with various sheets for the game. The Standard Edition (which runs about 200 pages) will retail for just $39.99, while the Deluxe Edition runs for $119.99.

A full description of the new expansion is below:

What's interesting to me is that one of the witch arts looks to be a male coded character. I don't have any problems with using that class name, but I also recognize my own privilege here.

If only they would sell a GM screen separately!

Yeah ... that's the one reason I'll delay a bit on deciding whether to go for the deluxe or not. I want the GM screen, but the tokens, dice and fancy box are meh to me, and it is 3x the price of the base box ...

Is he making a frame, or a full campaign setting? I got the impression at the announcement that it was the latter.
This Insta post confirms that this is not what Keith was working on. Also ... the Fear tokens are rhombic dice that can slot over the GM screen, so I'm leaning slightly more to the upgrade

Well, I'll be picking this one up.
I like the box, but I put my cards into a MtG style binder, so it was easier for the players to actually see the cards when building/leveling their character. So, I plan to just pick up the standard edition, and the cards will be added to the binder.

Glad we're getting the Warlock & Witch, I'd like to play one myself one time.

So I am keen to pick this up, but the deluxe is just outside my budget. Conversely, if the production quality is as good as the core book and given the size they are suggesting, $40 is a pretty good deal at this point. What I am aching for is for them to release the screen as a separate product.
