Damn you Websense!

Same happened to me last year. They're gradually getting the smaller & smaller sites. Even Sean K Reynolds site is now banned :(. Pretty much all I'm left with is maxminis.

Cheers,
Liam

I can't really ask anyone not to block this site because we aren't supposed to consult any site that's not related to work (even in our free time).

Of course, this measure is in place so that no one views an inappropriate site (sex, racism, etc.), which is grounds for getting fired.

Thanks for the moral support :), and some people have already submitted some "work-arounds" (hehe)

Yup, En World and WotC have been blocked at work for over a year now. Heck, they even started blocking Order of the Stick a few months ago. Thank god sports sites haven't been blocked yet. I don't know what i'd do without my weekly fix of Tuesday Morning Quarterback during American Football season.

Yeah, we aren't allowed to view non-business related websites, but for some reason none of the football sites (including the local club's supporter site) are banned... :\

Cheers,
Liam

This topic scares me. I live in fear of suffering your fate.

My office for now seems to take the view that we are professionals, and are expected to do our jobs. If taking a break and doing a little net surfing can be fit into our busy schedules, that seems to be okay. For now. I'm sure eventually someone will abuse this and then we will all suffer.

Sucks to be you.

our firewall so far hasn't banned ENWurld.

but other sites, even ones related to my job, are blocked due to language.

i mean when you work at THE Health agency for the Country.. and you can't even look at health sites on Breastfeeding or Early childhood development...
