Dancing weapon questions

Voadam

Legend
A dancing weapon is a +4 weapon bonus where the weapon fights at your side only using your BAB. Can it do full attack actions and use iterative attacks if you have a BAB of +6 or greater?

If it is a double weapon can it do two weapon fighting (with or without the wielders ambidexterity and two weapon fighting feat modifiers)?

From the srd:

Dancing

A dancing weapon can be loosed (requiring a standard action) to attack on its own. It fights for 4 rounds using the base attack bonus of the one who loosed it and then drops. It never leaves the side of the one who loosed it (never straying more than 5 feet) and fights on even if that creature falls. The wielder who loosed it can
grasp it while it is attacking on its own as a free action, but when so retrieved it can’t dance (attack on its own) again for 4 rounds.

Caster Level: 15th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, animate objects; Market Price: +4 bonus.

It fights with your BAB, that means iterative attacks too.

A double weapon has to enchanted with dancing on both ends for it to be able to attack with both ends while dancing. And even then it attack your BAB only, which means the second end suffers penalties as if you didn't have ambi/TWF, and only gets one attack even if you have ITWF.

But if Ambidexterity and Two-weapon fighting are not in the picture, then both ends would suffer the penalties, would they not?

And I didn't realise that I didn't before you pointed it out!

That gives me an interesting idea though. A dancing double-weapon that uses the wielder's BAB, and behaves as though it has Ambidexterity and Two-Weapon Fighting. Hmmm. I wonder how much that would cost....<hits the drawing board>

Roughly, 204.500 gp...

<ripped away from his drawing board> How'd you come to that?

Hmmm ... on second thought ... it would much lower than that ... (weapon price) + (300+50000)*2 + (feat price) = about 110000 gp ... is that not more like it?
