As Kaleth waits for the test to begin he turns his attention back to Leonan.
I explained our mission and our arrangement with Enid. We need to talk to the elder. They use the term Hag which is a type of Dark Fae. If this Enid is truly a hag then the children are not safe with her. We should also speak with the villagers. They kept these deals from us and we must know the full extent of what was given and paid.

The sprite flyswatter forward and touches Kaleth on the forhead, the touch is warm and relaxing as it slips around Kaleth encasing him in a bright light. Then it is gone just as quickly as it came.

The same thing happens to everyone as one by one they pass the test before they know it they are trecking through the woods again after a short distance they arrive at the village. Lots of tiny wooden houses built into the trees.

After a lot of whispered conversations and sidelong glances your way and a few more beatings. The elder sprite approaches the group."So it would appear you are wanting to start a war with Auntie Enid, you do know this will be no small task. Enid is a very powerful and ambitious hag she will have plan, after plan for being challenged.

"We know she's not some hedge wizard, certainly. I'm Leonan deHewes, collector and maker of stories. This is Prince Colember of Alluria, Kalveen Jorgenssen, his bodyguard. Here is Kaleth Silvanis, mystic of The Academy.
We hope to thwart Enid in her scheme with some elven children. Not necessarily to remove or destroy her. Would you be willing to help in such a quest? It might help you to in the long term, Enid obviously wants to be rid of you.

"No you are not. A hag spawns more hags into this world by kidnapping children and performing a ritual, the child on their 13th birthday then transforms into a hag. This is not done lightly as hags well hate each other. Enid must be planning to force her spawn into a coven, to elevate her status."
