Actually, while it is about demons; the demons fit into this setting a lot better then most. The setting is actually pretty cool.

Nice art okay, but meh... yet another book about demons...

Actually Dark Legacies is much more than "yet another book about demons..."

It's a setting where you have powerstruggles within the churches, with corrupt priests still being able to do miracles (instead of them losing access to all granted powers because of alignment violation), even using demonic magic when nobody is watching.

It's a setting with lots of intrigue and plotting going on...the players almost never know who to trust.

It's a setting where magic use does not look like this:
DM: "So what do you do?"
Wizard: "I cast MM (again), doing 11 points of force damage to the incorporeal ghost"
DM: "Do your character actually know other spells?"

And it's the setting that got my normally foolhardy "we can take on ANY monster you've got" players to use combat expertise and fighting defensively, because there's consequences of being hit...

The setting is actually pretty cool.

It certainly sounds cool but I haven't heard much about it. The writer posts in here once in a while but it would be nice if he was more vocal so we could get some info on the setting.

I wrote a review on the players guide, it doesn't give as much setting info as I would have liked but it is a well done book.

I'm actually as vocal as a publisher can be without being a Damnable Thread Hijacker(tm). :) I post mostly in the publishers forum, lest I incur the wrath of Morrus.

And yes, Dark Legacies is far from being "just another demon setting," as Crothian pointed out.

Nah, you can always be more vocal. Just be careful and try to answer questions rather than start threads proclaiming your company the greatest in the world. :) Besides, you'd be wrong -- that's my place.
