D&D General DDB style site for Older Editions

My knee-jerk reaction when I read this was "Yeah, that would be cool".
Then I started thinking about it...what would this older edition DDB site do? I have been to DDB, but I don't understand what it's used for outside of the forums.
For me, the only thing that makes DDB worthwhile isn't even an official function of the site. It's the 3rd party Beyond20 app that lets me use my DDB characters in Roll20.

I have never heard of that app but I have not used Roll20 much. I grew to dislike their interface although I have some content purchased there.
