Matt, welcome. Please don't use the term "gay" as an insult here - that usage isn't what we want to see. Anyways, no one is going to be rude because you're asking a question. That's what this place exists for!

I have moved your question into the rules forum, incidentally, to keep things organized.

The Whip is a one-handed weapon so it does not suffer the penalty for being a light weapon in a disarm attempt. The Whip also grants you +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an opponent (including the roll to keep from being disarmed if the attack fails). This bonus you add to your opposed attack roll (plus your normal bonuses and +4 if you have Improved Disarm).

The base rules do not allow you to use a Whip to move the disarmed weapon towards. The Lasher prestige class for Sword and Fist might give that ability but I can't remember if it does.

They WOULD stack if the whip were a light weapon. But it is not. If the whip were a light weapon, receiving a +2 to disarm, it would have an overall -2 to disarm (-4 from being light, +2 for being a whip). But as Camarath said, whips are one-handed. They have an +2 to disarm.

Remember, if he's using Sword and Fist, he may be playing 3E.

In 3E, a whip was a Small weapon - Light for a Medium creature.

The term light weapon wasn't used in 3.0 was it? Oh, well.

[edit] Yes, I realize I am an idiot. Of course there was a light weapon in 3.0.

[edit #2] I really wish they hadn't muttled the game with 3.5

Actually, some of us would also prefer not to see the word "raped" thrown around in here.

Good point. That post has been removed, only partially because I fixed the title when I moved the thread.

[Meta reminder] Remember, folks, that you can edit your own titles by editing the first post of the thread.

While the term light weapon was used in 3E, it wasn't referenced in the Disarm rules... so thinking about it, he's probably playing 3.5 after all.
