Do enemies block LOS/LOE?

I know enemies give cover if a line or two crosses thru them, but do they completely block Line of Sight if all lines cross thru enemies? What about Line of Effect? Can you safely launch a fireball thru a line of enemies to land behind them, and thus not hit your own guys engaging them in melee?

Enemies don't block LoS or LoE. (though some probably -should- block LoE if they completely fill a square -- like the central square of a huge creature or a Gelatinous Cube.

Anything you can run a sword through can't block Line of Effect!

But enemies DO provide cover to other enemies for Ranged attacks. You can summon a fireball behind the enemies just fine tho, it's not like you're aiming for a square, you're just creating it there.
