No preference either way. If human is the only option, that's fine. If human isn't an option at all, that's also fine. And so on.

Voted No, but I have played a number of them. I like playing oddballs, but I know oddball characters do not fit in every game, so humans are a good standby.

In D&D, the flexability and power of the human racial traits means I need a strong character concept to pass them up. In other systems (which I play often) there's not as much bias, and I have a lot of fun playing strange beings of all types. So I voted no, I don't prefer it, I do it when I have a reason just like every other character option.

Let's see, these are me PC's over the past few years.

Captain Plundar, the ***hole Eternal, barbarian/airship pirate. Human.
Joseirus, the Eqyptain God of Mexican Wrestlers. Human.
Dr. Gruenkrieger, Champion of Life. Half-orc.
Chana Saag Krishna-Gandhi "Eastwood" West, space cowboy sorceror. Human.
Grenache Shiraz, winemaker and cleric of Moquol. Human.
Rashid, barbarian/rogue/fighter. Human (until he started turning into a djinn).

Five of six were human, so I'd say I prefer playing humans. And each about as odd as they come...

I want what you're smoking! That must be some seriously good leaf! :p

Yes, but honestly its mainly a mechanical reason, not an in game one.

I have such a hard time giving up that feat, I think half elves are chump, I hate the con penalty on elves, I think the half orc is chump, and unless I'm playing a rogue or a spellcaster I'm not a big fan of the smallfry. So its human or dwarf...and again I have a real problem giving up that feat:)
