do you think Arnold the T800 have retired in future Terminator franchise?

JMS also admitted that one episode of B5 was 'cryptophaged' unconsciously from another science fiction story. IIRC, it's the episode in which someone gets taken over by alien nanotech, in the med bay and it threatens the station's computer systems.

Yeah and honestly I think that's almost inevitable, especially if you watched a lot of episodic SF TV shows and/or read a lot of short-story-form SF - if you then create a lot of SF yourself, it's highly likely you're going to end up replicating the plot/conceit to one or another of those stories sooner or later. I suspect that's more or less what Cameron did with Terminator, and then realized he'd done it, and foolishly admitted that to Starlog, though obviously we'll never know.

It's probably age but at 60, I no longer care about the franchises I adored in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. I still cherish them but I'm no longer interested in new content.

My wife and I discussed this the other day. With less time left (you got to accept the inevitable*), we want to enjoy new things like The Boys, For All Mankind and The Three Body Problem.

Now I understand my dear mother when she said 'We've seen all the movies and TV shows, give us something new to watch!'

[*edit: I'm not depressed or anything like that. It's just that time flies. 12 years ago we moved into our last home, the one you buy to retire in. It seemed far off. Well, I retired this year and my wife retires in 10 months.]

It was a weak episode anyway, notable only for having David McCallum in it. It’s hard to come up with a completely original story every two weeks!

I'm ten years younger, but I'm pretty ruthless about any content that doesn't do it for me. If I enjoyed the first series of a show, but the second doesn't appeal to me after one or two episodes, then I drop it. I gave up on Game of Thrones midway through season 5, for instance.

Unlike most people I loved T3. The self-mockery was an excellent to the action. But that was the last Terminator instalment I've seen.
