Do your cats like turkey?

I noticed this last year, but it happened again this year. One of my cats, Edgar (who is one of those Bombay cats, at least in looks), was begging for turkey. He even got in the chair while it was being served, he was so eager.

He basically will keep eating it until you stop giving him some.

Anyone else have a cat like that?

One of my other cats also likes it, but not as much (and she eats pretty much any human food - anything but cat food). My other (ironically the 30 lb one) had no interest in it at all.

Our cat Tiger(siamese in all but head shape) almost never ate human food, other than turkey, he would beg and steal it every chance he could, but otherwise he just ate his Meow Mix. He died a couple of months ago, when he snuck out on my brother(he loved to sneak outside for a couple of hours), and was killed by what we think was a coyote.

I haven't had cats in years, but both of mine loved poultry of all kinds and in any form they could get it.

I distinctly remember back in 1976, 1 year after we got our kitties, that the more aggressive and gregarious of the 2 snatched a drumstick of KFC right out of the bucket on the table while we were in the kitchen getting plates and drinks...

And we were living in Germany at the time- we had to drive 30 minutes to get that dang chicken in the first place!

We were NOT amused...

My cats are moderately fond of raw beef and raw chicken (or turkey), but one of them goes nuts about smoked chicken. He'll do anything to get it. Nowadays I just buy a smoked chicken breast once a fortnight or so and feed it to him in bits.

Our cat will eat almost anything. She is picky about some foods. She loves turkey sliced from the deli but I am not sure about turkey direct from the bird itself. I'll bet if it was nice and moist, like the dark meat, she'd gobble it all down.

Both Tigger and KC love their turkey. They even sampled the crust from a pie. Tigger liked, KC ....begged for more turkey.

The dog, Trooper, got his own little dish with turkey, stuffing and a bit of potato and biscuit.

All the cats I have ever had loved turkey. Now some liked other human food better than others. Emerson my applehead Siamese loved all kinds of people food he had a passion for pizza.

Canth my oriental Siamese didn't really like much human food but he had a weird love for the part of cantelope that you scoop out you know that stringy part.

Right now I have two cats Callisto who will eat anything she can get and Llira who is not really into human food but loves the dog and the ferret's food.

I had a cat that would eat anything, he once at the string off of the ham....We thought it was a tapeworm when he brought up a hairball.... He was given away cos he ate too much and had no where to excercise. Our old cat who we still have will beg for ham, but won't eat it.....

My cats always go straight for the raw beef, though I'm sure they would be begging for turkey as well. Or pretty much any meat, for that matter.

One of my mom's cats loves corn bread. It's kind of rediculous.

Our cat never has much cared for human food. She will go crazy over doggy glucoscamene, the expensive stuff that is. One of my previous cats loved doritoes. Go figure. :p
