Doctor Who Children in Need - Why have one Doctor, when you can have two?

Also, "The Four Doctors" has the virtue of not being an already-used story/ep title. :)

Also also, if Billie Piper isn't willing to reprise Rose Tyler, they can easily use the Ninth Doctor even before "Rose" opens. This would actually clean up a nice bit business on the part of Christopher Eccleston, for the detail-minded. Specifically, the Doctor checks his reflection in a mirror early in the episode and this led, IIRC, to some speculation that he had recently regenerated. What if, without answering the question of how long he'd gone since regenerating, he's instead checking his reflection because he's just met three of his other selves and has to "remind" himself which he is once he goes solo again?

Ahem. Just a thought.

I'm not saying Davidson was terrible during his term as the Doctor. In fact I thought he played the part rather well. But still, I don't like the Fifth Doctor all that much for a number of reasons. My main beef being that he seemed to be a background character more than anything, and not a main character at the forefront of a story. For the most part he seemed helpless in controlling events around him and oftentimes being swept up in them, whereas the Doctor I know would assert his authority and take charge whenever the proverbial s**t hits the fan. Oh sure there were some instances were the Fifth Doctor would perform some heroic act and daring deed to please us (such as his rescue of Peri in The Caves of Androzani), but they felt few and far between.
I always thought what really messed up the 5th Doctor was having so many companions. It was a mistake making most of them non-humans, too. It was just too hard for Davison's more subdued character to stand out from that crowd - especially with the strident Tegan and shrieky Peri.

I think if they're going to have that many companions with a Doctor, the Doctor needs to appear a little older so he can fit better in a mentor role for the companions, the way the 1st and 2nd Doctors did.

That said, I always liked Peter. I'll be eager to see the clip.

I think this is great I am big fan of Peter Davison and up until David Tennant knocked him out of first place he was my favorite doctor. So it will be great seeing my two facorite doctors together.

TEEHEE! Now that was fun. Who here watched this today?

What a brilliant little interlude for a good cause. Some fine acting from the two leads, combined with a witty and engaging script from the peerless Steven Moffat. I really hope they consider doing a multi doc encounter again, particularly with the Eighth Doctor (the underrated Paul Mcgann).

To me, it just seemed like an excuse for David Tennant to talk about how great Doctor Who was when he was growing up...Very little Doctor Whoishness.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it though.
