Stop threadcrapping.

How dare you assign motive to someone else's post! Are you that person? How do you know what their intentions were?

I then indulge in the grossest hypocrisy by doing just that to your post, but sprinkle in some implicit ad hominem suggesting that maybe you shouldn't be trusted around children.

I take what you've posted, turn it into a bizarre absolute and use it to prove you're an idiot for saying what you never actually said in the first place.

And I'll make patronising remarks about your inability to use logic. If you call me on it I'll claim it was just a general comment and not aimed at anyone in particular, even though I've just quoted you a few sentences earlier.

Insert some fad statement or overused cliche here, possibly involving subscription to newsletters or another series of in-joke acronyms designed to make me feel included.

Cheers,
Cam

I'm not fooled by your passive-aggressive smiley, and I've reported you to the proper authorities. You should know by now that I'm absolutely humourless about what WotC has done to gamers everywhere.

I've been playing D&D for 47 years, and I've never met anyone who doesn't play the way I do, so you're clearly wrong. And ugly.

;)

Hah! Well I've been playing it ever since Garius Gygaximus wrote the Octavian Edition of Civitas Greyhawkus and I know that anybody who does not subscribe to the Post-Aristotlean Neo-Thomist school of RPG design has no business having an opinion as they probably subscribe to the Pseudo-Platonic school which was thoroughly discredited in the Fourth Genevan Council of 1831.

Pithy comment about skipping 4E and waiting for 4.5 which will be released shortly thereafter. Plus a smiley to suggest I think this comment is still clever, even after the thousands of times it has already been used.

I refute this blatant and irreverent falsehood. And I should know for holy Gygax inscribed his original game notes upon the very first stone tablets under my observation. It was only slightly after the creation of rocks and before fire. We didn't have any of this newfangled PAPER nonsense back then, if you wanted to write something you had to work for it. Why you whipper snappers should thank us for everything. Including dirt as it was a byproduct of rubbing out old HP counts.
