oops sorry, getting ready to pack up for the night, so I will do something tomorrow.

soon to become homer's action-taking only one attack as I don't see him attacking with both weapons while crawling. I could be wrong . . . . .

Homer tries to attack with the elfin short sword

1D6-2 = [5]-2 = 3

Lizt ascends into the crawlspace and scrambles up the narrow passage until she can hear the creature scraping and clawing at Homer. It is dark and the light from below provides only the dimmest of illumination.

Unfortunately for those in the room below, Homer has traveled beyond the curve in the tunnel and they do not have line of sight to the creature attacking him. Because of this, Hank's badger comes into being behind Lizt instead of in front of her as he had wished.

Homer is lucky and his jab slices a bit of rotten flesh from the creature's grasping arm. The creature continues its relentless pursuit of ripping out a chunk of Homer-flesh; both claws tear into the halfling.

[sblock=OOC]Everyone is up. Only Homer and Lizt can attack the ghoul.

Badger: Atk +2 (1d4); AC 12; hp 1 (poor roll; sorry); Act 1d20; Fort +3, Ref +2, Will +1; 600/600 rounds

Ghoul: AC 8; hp 10/13
-Attacks Homer: [roll0] for [roll1] & [roll2] for [roll3].

Homer: 1/8 hp[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]There are no tactical withdraw actions. If a character leaves melee combat whoever he was fighting with gets a free attack against him.[/sblock]

Lizt forged forward, through the narrow tunnel in the ceiling. She jumped when the honey badger appeared behind her, then hastened forward. "Hell, this is a badger hole?! Where the deuce did that thing come from?" Lizt frowned. She was eager to be well away from the badger. When she rounded the last corner and had the ghoul in view, however, Lizt began to wish she had only the badger to deal with. The undead thing clawing at Homer was ghastly looking; Lizt felt her hackles rise in fear. She stalwartly gripped the pommel of her shortsword and sliced at the ghoul from behind.

[roll0], [roll1]

OOC: Lizt is a thief and has backstab. Could she backstab the ghoul? I've checked her character sheet, which includes "Backstab 0/0." My best guess is that if Lizt can make a backstab attempt, it goes at +0. I'm not sure if that's a bonus to her attack roll, or to damage. If the latter, then I also don't know what damage backstab grants. Help?

[sblock=OOC]A thief attacking an unaware enemy counts as a backstab. The modifier, +0 in this case because Lizt is neutral, is a modifier to the attack roll. If the backstab hits it is an automatic critical hit rolling 1d10 on table II. The die type changes as you advance levels. A blackjack, blowgun, dagger, and garrotte do extra damage when used in a backstab attack also.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Thanks, GE. I've edited Lizt's RG character sheet to include the info you gave. I don't think I have Table II, however. Was it included in the info you posted on Google Docs? If so, may I please have the link again? I replaced my laptop back in February, and don't seem to have anything other than the DCC quick start rules on my new hard drive.[/sblock]
