See. I don’t get this. Why is it an annoyance? Is it that it’s not uniform across all classes?it's the 2 vs. 1d3 thing. That's an unnecessary annoyance that shouldn't have got through playtesting

No. It's because it's almost but not quite uniform. The difference between 1 and d6 would matter and is big enough to be memorable. But 2 vs 1d3 is irritating and trivial and just another thing to rememberSee. I don’t get this. Why is it an annoyance? Is it that it’s not uniform across all classes?
In Draw Steel, 1d6 would be too much variability. I think part of the point is that they're the "same". You get ~2 heroic resources on your turn. Based on your class (and it's "source of power") it may be a reliable source of heroic resources, or a bit more chaotic.No. It's because it's almost but not quite uniform. Yes. Fundamentally 1d3 and 2 are the same thing. Except some classes just know how much they're getting and some classes have to roll 1d6 and divide by 2 rounding up.Is it that it’s not uniform across all classes?
or Dragonbane or any of the other systems that have a single universal meta currency for powering abilities (yes DH has stress too but its used a bit differently than hope). No one has made this complaint about Daggerheart that I am aware of.
To be fair, Hope/Fear and Stress aren't class-based metacurrencies. They're generic metacurrencies that are used across all classes and by the GM as well. You mean no one's bothered to start a thread about it.![]()
