E-Tools: What can it do?

Okay, pimp your wares, man.
Is it possible to add spell points, weapon groups, and the Warlock to NPC Designer? How about Epic play?

Lets see:
Spell points you will notice is on the list to be added for November already (had a few others request it already)

Weapon Groups: Guess it depends on what you want exactly, if we are talking the samething.. take me about 30 seconds to add.

Warlock Class: I didn't see anything to stop that from being scripted and OGL Content as well (We already handle Bloodlines and Paragons from the book)

Epic: Epic numbers yes.. I am in the middle of doing the feats (180 takes a bit of time) It is not the focus since I have more people wanting other things but since I do have an Epic group myself, I am usually putting some work into it along the way.

Is there a Warlock in Unearthed Arcana? I believe there's one in Complete Arcane, which is not OGC.

duh.. Proven fact.. fighting the flu and pimping does not mix well

Thanks Paul :)

So let me correct that then, if you wish to create a Warlock script, you can.. users create new classes, races and everything else in the system. If they need help, I am available on the irc, forums and email. That system seems to work well because I had one user do a ton of Eberron material and I don't even know the setting, they just tell me what they are attempting to accomplish in game terms and I create a solution in NPC Designer.

So, Vascant, does the demo let me try to add some of these features in? Or do I need to buy the tool to try that part out?

I've got absolutely no problem paying for software that does what I want. Quite the opposite -- I'm on record saying I'd pay $100 for a tool that did what I wanted and did it well. As you said, though, there are so many different takes on what the "right" way for a tool to work is that I can't really afford to drop $30 (give or take) just to try every kit on the market.

Actually none of the scripting is turned off in the demo, just limited in levels and such. So you can indeed attempt to pull off a lot. Say like weapon groups, or wanted to figure out the Warlock script...

Nothing is stopping you at all..

Since RPGX got a mention from KingPaul I'll point out that RPGXplorer v1.0 is coming out tomorrow and not feel too bad in the 'pimping' dept :p ;)

Epics, Psionics and Companions next (after fixing the inevitable v1.0 buglets of course ;)

p.s. sorry for taking a potshot at you on Wiz boards Vascant. Was having a bad day.

Thanks, guys. I am still on the fence, but I know I need a utility program to smooth out prep.

So, what alternatives are there? I don't mind paying for a software suite as long as it is worth the dollars in utility.

After I use Etools (the first version), I then make mods using an html editor (Frontpage) to make other changes. Have been since Etools don't support alot of "weird stuff" I had to have for a character I was playing, not to mention it didn't go into epic levels or do race substitution.

I'd love to know if the new version of etools can support racial substitution (for my half dragon paladin) so I don't have to manipulate that on my own and less manual adjustment is always good! :)
