E-Tools: Where is the patch?

Is there any reason why a patch has not been put out yet fixing the very fundamental core rules oversites yet? I feel very stupid for paying $40 and have yet to see an official patch for this unfinished product. I don't think I should have to rely on the community to eventually fix this product and add more functionallity. I don't qualify "official support" as posts from official Fluid employees saying "Yup, thats a bug." I would like to see something actually done with these bugs. It seems impossible to me that this product went through any testing before it was put out. Some of the bugs are so glaringly obvious that I can't believe they weren't caught.

I have been trying to remain patient, but it is irritating to pay so much for this unfinished product and not see any hard support actually put out. Fluid, put that Powder Puff Girls project on the shelf, and finish what you started with E-Tools.

It took over two years to get E-Tools finished and on the market and you want a patch the week after it comes out? I don't think you've been patient enough. :)

At Gen Con, Scott Matthews said that it would likely be about 10 days until a patch came out. That was on Saturday evening, so I'd say give it until August 20th or so before you see anything.

And why did you pay $40 for a $29.95 product? Did you go to a reverse discount store?

Maybe the product was purchased at a retail store where the price is marked up to allow the store to have a profit. Aparently there is only the razor thinist of margins on this product so the only people who can sell it at msrp is SVGames, and then you will need to pay shipping as well.

Some how i doubt that, so how much does a retailer pay according to your 'source'?

Like a F*ck, I thought it would be great to get this product as quickly as possible so I paid the extra $13 for Fed-Ex. I feel studiper than sh*t right now for paying that much money for this product. I am really kicking myself, as I don't believe this product is worth more than $5. Just my opinion. I sincerely hope this product makes a turn around; meaning, the bugs get fixed and new functionality is added.

There has been a lot of confustion about what the retail price was.

At first we were told the retail price was $49.95. Then we were quickly informed that there was no retail price, WOTC was just selling it to retailers for a flat fee (usually it is a percentage of the retail cost) and at the price they listed it should have had a MSRP of about $35.

Course the Fluid guys said they thought it should be $30 and that seems to be what it retails for now, but when it was first released nobody knew what price to put on it.

That is probably why you saw prices all over the place. And at $30 pretty much nobody but WOTC is making any money on it.

Please do not use clever substitutions to represent profanity. The rules here are pretty simple, and generally consist of not posting anything that would offend Morrus' grandmother. Profanity - even profanity designed to evade the filter - counts. Thanks.

I am, however, really sorry about the disappointment with E Tools.

I thought it was Eric's grandmother! Grr. I know how a nice, wholesome, American grandmother would respond to things, since I have two of my own. I have no clue how a British grandmother would respond. She'd probably yell at me and make me clean my lift or lorrie or bonnet or whatever the heck those people call things.
