There's a reason I trust McDonalds and I don't trust Jack in the Box: branding. Treat Dragonmarks like the Nintendo Seal of Approval!

The only thing I trust McDonalds to do is to as quickly leave as it arrived...

And for some reason no one ever seems to refer to Ravenloft as Steampunk. It's like it has a magical aura of tech blindness!

In it's defense, the new Lamordia is intentionally steampunk with body horror.

I would trust my local privately owned chippy ahead of any corporation.

That's great when you are in your local neighborhood, but if you were traveling and had to stop for food, do you trust some random diner or McDonald's? McDonald's might not be top tier, but the menu and pricing is fairly consistent across the country and you know what they are going to offer. Dragonmark houses offer the same reliable services and standardized pricing.

Unsurprisingly, I prefer the old Victorian Lamordia, but the new one is interesting as it's own thing. I just don't like wholesale replacements.

Perfectly logical if you can get out of your head as a player at a table. I try to every time, but nobody's perfect.
