D&D General Eberron - why don't you run it? [-]

I do not care for the core Sovereign Host pantheon at all though. They just don’t register for me as interesting or memorable to the point I cannot really remember anything about them at all
The sovereign host is more like conventional D&D polytheism. A couple of them are even real!

But I think it’s good to have as many different types of religion as possible, even if that means including the generic one.

I like a lot of generic D&D pantheons, Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Krynn, Golarion, the real world and fictional ones from Deities & Demigods/Legends & Lore, 4e core, and others.

The Sovereign Host specifically just does not call out to me and hook me like those others do.

Another thing that annoys me is that, despite the plethora of adventure content set in Sharn, much of it fails to take its unique structure into account. Too many of the adventures are written as if they could take place anywhere, not in a medievalesque vertical city.

Also, the lack of any stats for skycoaches is annoying.

Why do you equate mech based PCs? There aren't any meechs. Did your DM put some in? If you mean warforged, they are golems, magical and made of earthly materials, not mechanical in any way. But you probably knew that much from playing it.

The closest thing to a mech that Eberron has is the warforged colossus.

Yeah, this is my bad, there were mechs in our campaign and I reckon I've lumped them together with warforged in my now jumbled memory. Not sure where the GM got them from, but you could play a robot/android PC of sorts which one of my mates did and there were mech NPCs around too. I've never owned any of the books, so my exposure is through that one 4e campaign and so I've made a bunch of assumptions. But the idea of Eberron feels very cool though, just not sure if I'd run a game in it myself though.
